Do keep secrets, just because you’re involved with someone. It dose not mean they need (for indeed want) to know everything about you. We all have the capacity for dullness, especially about work, so there’s no better way to keep the excitement going than being a bit of an unknown quantity. This goes for everything from sharing all your fantasies within the first six months, to wearing a face mask/clipping your toenails in the other’s presence. Romance Relationship Tips 01A word of advice Do an extracurricular activity you both won’t like, and then afterwards you can sit in the pub slagging it off together. Do go on holiday separately. If you’ve been driven mad by 10 years of annually trying to find a holiday location that manages to combine beaches, culture, walking, English beer, local food, galleries, adventure activities, which is hot but not too hot, with great nightlife, in a quiet location, and that’s abroad but can be reached by train, then spend a week apart. You’ll remember why you like spending time with them in the first place and nobody will trail around after you in a huff because you want to shop/visit the local Musee de Football. You might even be a little bit lobely, which will make going home all the nicer. Romance Relationship Tips 05A word of advice

Do make an effort at weekends. Lounging on the sofa watching the Coronation Street omnibus in your unwashed tracksuit bottoms every weekend isn’t going to cut the mustard in most relationships if you don’t want to sacrifice your lazy Sunday, fine, but spend it separately. Or if you’re together then please make sure you do have a shower at some point. Do put your relationship first. We're all always knackered. However, sometimes we're a little bit more knackered than usual, which is fine if it goes on for a month. But if it goes on for much longer then it will drive your partner bananas, so either make an extra effort in spite of your tiredness, or change whatever it is that's making you so dog-tired. (unless the cause is small children, in which case you should both be exhausted.)
